You're all familiar with Ghost Rider aren't you? The Marvel Comics hero who sold his soul to Satan as a means to save another life, yet was betrayed (not surprising) and thus became the Ghost Rider. The Daemon Rider is somewhat similar, but very different.
The original name of the Daemon Rider is but lost in history, but what I am thinking is that he will be not much different than Johnny Blaze but in different time periods.
There is not much to story of the Daemon Rider, but it is said that the legend of the Daemon Rider dates back to the days of the Third Crusade (1189-1192 CE) where a knight who was in service of King Richard the Lionheart, was slain in battle against the Saracens. Instead of ascending to the heavens like he thought he was, he was sent to hell where he would be tortured by his victims for eternity. But there was a way out of it.
The Devil made a deal with the fallen knight. In exchange for his freedom, the knight would be the devil's personal slayer. The knight accepted this and even though he knew he was forsaking his faith in God. He was granted the sword Soul Eater, along with some very intimidating armor and reptilian/horse demonic like horse, thus the name of the character. Throughout the centuries he slew for Satan while seeking redemption from God. He was tricked by the Devil (not surprising)
For all those centuries it turned out he wasn't claiming the souls of evil people, just those who owed the devil debts that could not be repaid. The knight threw off his pledge to the Devil and has since then traveled the infinite realms and the edges of the universe. No-one knows where one can find him or where he will show up, but one thing is for sure that when he does show up, it's on the side of good and the battle will be won.
